By buying area rugs made of natural or recycled materials such as wool, sea grass and jute, you can do your bit to conserve the environment. You can also opt for area rugs made of sisal or coconut husks. Using bamboo floors and fence can be of great help in preventing deforestation. Bamboo based fabrics can also be used for upholstery and look quite classy as curtains and cushion covers.
